In the year 2003, he served and worked as 38th government of California for a period of 8 years until the year 2011. He reappeared in the big screen after leaving his office returning to the terminator series.

Early Life:

During the school days, Arnold was reported and found to be academically average, but was well known for his "cheerful, good-humored, and exuberant" traits. Money has always been an issue in his household. Arnold recalled that one of the key memories of his youth was when his family got a refrigerator to home. In his youth, he used to play several sports, which was an influence to him, by his father. He got his first barbell in the year 1960, when his soccer coach took him along with his team to a local gym. At the early age of 14 years, Arnold started to develop interest and selected bodybuilding over soccer as a career. He actually started weight training when he was 15, but he has also been part of many sports, like soccer, for numerous years.

Due to this he had a feeling that although he was slim, still he was developed enough at least to start going to the gym and begin Olympic lifting. Whereas in his official website biography the mentioned claim states that at the age of 14 years, he progressed towards an intensive training league with Dan Farmer, and then studied psychology at the age of 15 to understand about the power that the mind holds over one’s body and then at the age of 17, he alsocommenced his competitive career. During his speech in the year 2001, he mentioned that his own plan was decided when he was 14 years old. His father wished him to be a police officer like himself. On the other hand, his mother wanted him to go to trade school.

Family:

Fully abbreviated as Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger, he was born on the day of 30th July, 1947 in Thal, Styria to his parents Aurelia and Gustav Schwarzenegger. His father worked as the local chief of police and alsocontributed in World War II as a Hauptfeldwebel after his volunteer action tojoin the Nazi Party in the year 1938. He was severlywounded in the Battle of Stalingrad, but soonrecovered by the year, 1943 following a short breakthrough due to malaria.

He married Arnold’s mom, Aurelia on the day of 20th October, 1945. At the time of marriage, his father was 38 and his mother was just 23 years. Looking into the opinion of Arnold, his parents were quite strict, as he used to say that back then in Austria during his childhood days, everything was a very different world ... if they ever tried to do something wrong or we misbehaved totheir parents, at no cost they would ever be spared. He was brought up in a Catholic family who used to attend Mass every Sunday.

His father, Gustav had a preference for his elder son, Meinhard, over the younger Arnold. His concept of favoritism was something about strong and blatant, which came up from undiscovered suspicion that Arnold was not actually his biological child. Arnold used to mention that his father had no patience tolisten or understandtheir problems. He had a decent relationship with his mother and was totally in touch with her until shedied. Later, he commissioned the organisation known as Simon Wiesenthal Center to study his father's wartime record, which showed no evidence towards Gustav being involved in any kind of atrocities, despite his active member and partnership in the Nazi Party and Sturmabteilung (SA). His father’s background collected a wide press attention during the time of 2003 “California recall campaign.”

Career:

Arnold is considered among the most prominent figures in the entire history of bodybuilding, and his legacy is recalled and respected in the Arnold Classic annual bodybuilding contest. He has remained a vital face in bodybuilding even long time after his retirement, in part due of his ownership of gyms and tons of different fitness magazines. Besides, he has presided over several contests and award events.

For a long time, he used to write a monthly column for some of the popular bodybuilding magazines: “Muscle Fitness and Flex.” Soon after getting elected as a governor, he was selected as the executive editor of both magazines, in a hugely spread symbolic capacity. The magazines accepted to donate about 250,000 US dollars every year to the Governor's numerous physical fitness initiatives and schemes. One of the deals that included the contract that allowedArnoldto receive an amount of 1 million US dollar a year, was brought to the public in 2005, communities criticized it and looked to it as a conflict of interest as the governor's office decided about the topics that were concerning regulation of dietary supplements in entire California. Also, Arnold relinquished the executive editor role in the year 2005.
