Introduction :

Sania Mirza is first on the list of the best tennis players in India. She is the only player who has made the most success for India in playing tennis. Her extraordinary ability to play tennis is admirable. She has won numerous awards and honors for India in various sports competitions starting from Asian Games. She was on the list of the top 5 most influential people in the Times Magazine of 2010. 


Childhood Life : 

Tennis star Sania Mirza was born on November 15th ,1986 to a Hyderabad-based Sunni Muslim family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father's name is Imran Mirza, a sports journalist by profession. Her mother's name was Nasima Mirza who used to do business in printing. She had a younger sister named Anam Mirza. Sania Mirza moved to Hyderabad with her family at an early age and started living there permanently.


Student Life :

She initially started teaching at a school called Nassar in Hyderabad, and passed her high school from this school. She then graduated from St. Mary's College. Not only this, she received an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters from MGR Educational and Research Institute University, Chennai.


Career:

From an early age, she expressed her interest in playing tennis. She started playing tennis from the age of three. Her father was a teacher playing tennis. As a sports journalist, Sania received her early education in tennis. She became a skilled tennis player at the age of just seventeen. From this time she started to participate in tennis competitions in various places. Thus, she became a professional tennis player. 

On 2001, She played in the under-15 division in the first ITF circuit and won. She and Leander Paes won the bronze medal for India in the 2002 Asian Games. On 2003, she and her co-player Alisa Clebanova had won the Wimbledon Championship (women's division) doubles. She then won the US Open Doubles in the semifinals and the quarter-finals in 2003. Her co-player in the game was Sana Bhambri. 


Then she entered as a wild card against Australia in the WTA Tournament of 2003. She lost in the first round of the game. After that, she played for India by participating in the Fed Cup and won three consecutive matches. She participated in the Afro-Asian Games in 2003 and won four gold medals as a prize. 

Then on 2004, she entered and played as a wild card in the AP Tourism Tournament in Hyderabad. She won in this game and it was her first win in the WTA. She then participated in the Grand Slam held in Morocco. In the same year she won the singles ITF circuit. It was her sixth ITF win. But she was defeated by Serena Williams at the Australian Opens on 2005. Later she won the WTA title in February. On 2006, she again played at the Australian Open and also played in the Bangalore Open. She won in both games. Then she took part in the Dubai Championship and was defeated by Myrta Hingis. She played the French Open at the same time, but she was also defeated here. 

In December of the same year, she played in Doha Asian Games and won gold and silver for India. The next year, she lost to three of the first row of tennis players. She again participated in the Australian Opens in the 2007 but was defeated by Anna Ivanovic after the second round. The same year's Summer Hardcourt she won the Season US Open Series. This year she won a total of seven doubles titles. She won the Mixed Doubles Championship in 2008-09 season. She played with Mahesh Bhupathi at the Australian Open and became the first runner up. 

In 2008, Representing India for the Summer Olympics, she was dropped from playing singles. She won the first round match at the Australian Open on 2009, but lost to Nadia Petrove in the next two rounds. However, she won the Australian Open Grand Slam title for the first time in the doubles match on 2008-09. After that, she won the MP group championship. Her partner in this case was Chuang. She then represented India for the 2010 Commonwealth Games and lost to Anastasia Rodionova in the final. She participated in the Asian Games that same year. She won the bronze in this game. This year, she won the AI ??Habtoor Tennis Challenge in Dubai. 

After that, Sania participated in tournaments like Family Circle Cup, Australian Open, Mutua Madrid Open. In this she won the Family Circle Cup doubles. She also won the WTA Tour Doubles this year. Then she participated in the Southern California Open, but the other duo withdrew the match. Then she participated in the Fed Cup and won by defeating Zhang Ling, then she went to Brussels to play on the singles circuit and defeated 87th place winner Lesia Tsurenko in Spot Higher than Sania and won three consecutive games. 


On June 7, 2012, she and Mahesh Bhupati jointly played in the doubles of the French Open and defeated Santiago Gonzalez and Claudia Janes Ignacik. The next year, she played in the Australian Open with Bob Briyan and reached the quarterfinals. Then she played with Cara Black at the US Open, winning both of them. The same pair again defeated Sara Irani Roberta in the China Open Trophy. Sania and Cara Black won the Portugal Open Cup in the quarter-finals. Sania also won gold and bronze in the 17th Asian Games. Cara Black and Sania win the most important cup of their life in the WTA Finals. This year she participated in and won the International Premier Tennis League. 

In the season 2015, she was ranked top in the women's doubles division in the world. She and Martina Hingis won the doubles division of the Family Circle Cup. This pair won the Wimbledon Championship by playing together. Thus they won one match after another and reached the US Open Cup and won the tournament by defeating Casey Dellacqua and Yaroslava Shvedova. Last time, they reached the WTA Finals of 2015. They won the WTA Semifinals and Finals of 2015.


Married Life:

At 2009, she was involved with Pakistani cricketer Swayam Malik. In 2010, they got married. On the 2018th, their son was born. Their son's name is Izhan Mirza Malik.
