Career:

Jonas' career commenced when he was found at the age of six in a barbershop when his mom was getting her hair cut and was introduced to a known show business manager. He started working on Broadway at the early age of seven years, representing characters such as Little Jake, Tiny Tim, Chip Potts, and Gavroche, among other roles. Jonas penned the song "Joy to the World," that was also subtitled as A Christmas Prayer. He wrote this song with his father while performing in the movie Beauty and the Beast in the year 2002, starring backdrop vocals from Jonas' fellow cast members, which was featured on the collection album Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure in the fourth Volume. The song was later issued through INO Records to Christian Radio in the year 2003, that also served as Jonas' debut single.

The single got highlighted easily to the attention of Columbia Records, which was just a beginning to Jonas contracting with Columbia and INO to launch his first studio effort. Another album, "Dear God," was released in the year 2003 as the lead single from the project, accompanied by a re-performed version of the album "Joy to the World." Jonas also came up with the songs for the album with two of his older brothers, who also contributed background vocals for the release.

Nicholas Jonas was another of his albums that was released in the year 2004 and received a short release on the day of 5th September 2004. The project was scheduled for a broader release in the month of December, but later it was taken back before ultimately getting canceled altogether. Steve Greenberg, who was also the new president of Columbia Records, admired Jonas' voice on the record despite his hatred for the album. After listening to the song "Please Be Mine," he determined to sign Jonas and his brothers as a band group. Once after the signing and approval, the brothers reflected naming their group Sons of Jonas before resolving on the name Jonas Brothers.

While operating their debut studio album, the band traveled throughout the year 2005 with some fantastic artists such as Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, Jump5, Kelly Clarkson, and The Click Five, among all the others. Finally, the band released their debut single, which was titled as "Mandy" in the month of December 2005.

Though this album was originally scheduled for the month of February 2006, still the executive shifts at Columbia's parent company Sony drove to various delays on the release of the project. And exactly during this time, the group started making appearances on numerous Disney Channel related soundtracks and moved with Aly AJ throughout the year 2006.

It's About Time, which was also the debut album of this band, was released on the day of 8th August 2006. The album got little backing from the label, and they had no more interest in promoting and supporting the band. During its first run, the album only gained a minimal release that was equivalent to just 50,000 copies. Somehow the release of the record was handled. This turned the band to depart from Columbia Records and seek for a new label; it was later confirmed in the year of 2007 that the label had dropped the group. In total, the album was able sell about 1,750,000 copies.

Right after their departure from Columbia Records, Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records. During their work on the new album, the group proceeded to gain popularity due to soundtrack features and promotional appearances. Later, the group published their self-titled second studio album with the reference of Hollywood Records on the day of August 7, 2007. The album made its place to the top five in the Billboard 200 in the United States, which went on to sell about more than two million copies in the entire country.
