Introduction: 

Ronaldinho enjoyed his career in football throughout his life as skills for playing football were inherited from his family only, moreover he developed excellence in this field with his tremendous hard work. His main passion was playing football. His educational qualification is very minimum as he devoted his entire life in playing football only.

Family:

Ronaldinho was born in the year 1980,21st March in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He belongs to a family having a playing background.His father, Joao Moreira was a former professional soccer player. along with a professional soccer player his father also worked as a welder in a shipyard. Ronaldinho’s mother, Miguelina de Assis was a cosmetic saleswoman by profession in her earlier life but later she changed her profession into nursing. His elder brother was also from soccer playing background. In some of Ronaldinho’s interview he could be found giving some statements like “ I come from a family where soccer has always been very present”, “My uncles, my father and my brother were all players”. Living with that kind of background, he learned very much in the field of soccer. Gradually he tried to devote more time for playing soccer. His father played a vital role in inspiring him constantly through his work. He considered his father to be his role model. But Rolandinho lost his father at very early stage of his life. At the age of 8 he lost his father as he suffered a fetal heart attack. He considered his father to be one of the most important person in his life as well as for his career.

Early Life:

He started his journey through soccer at the age of 7, under the guidance of his father. His journey began as a youth soccer which gave him the nickname “ Ronaldinho”. His actual name was Ronaldo but when he joined senior national team he found another person with the same name, so everyone started calling Ronaldo to Ronaldinho as he was youngest amongst them. Along with soccer he also played futsal- which is an offshoot of soccer played on a hard court surface in indoors which requires only 5 players on each side. The techniques he used to perform while playing futsal has helped him to have a unique style of remarkable touch and a controlled grip on the ball while playing in the field.

Career:

Ronaldo is considered to be the greatest and finest player of his generation in the history of sports. He started his journey as a player at the age of 7 only. But by that time no one knew about his capabilities. Gradually, by his devotion and hard work he was considered to be the most talented youth soccer player of Brazil. Once he scored 23 goals in a single game by himself at the age of 13 only. Due to his tremendous playing skills his team got the title of champions many times. In the year 1997, Ronaldo as a teenager had a call to Brazil’s under 17 national team. Again his team got the title of World Championship in Egypt and he was considered to be the best player in the team due to his amazing performance throughout the match. He made his senior debut for Gremio in the year 1998 in Copa Libertadores tournament. 

All these achievements gave him a new identity for himself in the entire world. He had been invited to participate in the Confederations Cup in Mexico. This match turned to be the footsteps for his journey of success. He achieved Golden Boot Award as leading goal scorer and he also won the Golden Ball Award as the tournament’s best player. Ronaldo firmly established himself as a star on the international platform in the year 2001. After a year of delightful success he participated in his first World Cup on a Brazilian squad. After celebrating his youth career he became an important member of the Brazilian team that won the world cup in the year 2002. He scored two goals in five matches, which resulted his team to have a final victory over England and Brazil kept defeating Germany in the finals also to claim their fifth world cup title. He devoted his life for playing in clubs in Brazil, France, Spain and Italy, and for two times has been named as FIFA World player of the year.

During the time period of 2005 and 2007 he back to back won FIFA World player of the year awards, which is the highest individual honor in the field of sports. In the year 2011, Ronaldo returned to Brazil to play for Flamengo in Rio De Janerio. But afterwards situations were not in his favor and he had to face many ups and downs in his life, he could not help himself and his team to win the matches and they were being defeated by other teams. But this situation did not last for too long, he signed with Atletico Mineiro in the year 2012, June, which helped him to get back his outstanding playmaking abilities. He is considered to be the most marketable athletes in the world and he is the most famous athlete according to ESPN in the year 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Personal Life: 

According to some media reports Ronaldinho was found to have relationship with two women at the same time, Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza. Interestingly it has been found that they are living a harmonious life. He got married to both the women at a private ceremony inside the Santa Monica condominium, in the upmarket Barra da Tijuca district in Rio, where he had lived since 2015. 

For him, his soccer career gave him a lot of unforgettable memories to cherish for the life time. For him the entire journey was nothing less than a roller coater ride having lots of ups and downs in it. He considers himself to be fortunate enough to take part in major competitions like Olympics. But in Olympics he could not face the happiness of winning. The feeling of winning and being defeated by others, both the memories are equally memorable for him and every time he tried to learn something new from his experience.
