Dewayne Johnson is a professional wrestler who turned as an actor for his performance in the fantasy adventure film ‘The Mummy returns’. He was famous in the wrestling world as ‘The Rock’ and after that, when he started his film career, then he became a box office star and he appeared in good films like ’The Scorpion King’, ‘Hercules’ and ‘The fast and the furious’ franchise. He born into a family of wrestlers and because of this, he always had an interest in playing football and other wrestling games.

Childhood Life:

In the year 1972, on 2nd May he was born in Hayward, California. His father was Rocky Johnson and his mother was Ata Maivia. His father used to be a professional wrestler and on the other hand, his mother was the daughter of a wrestler.

Student Life:

He lived in New Zealand for a short period of time and then he attended the Richmond Road Primary school. Therefore, when he came to the United states then he enrolled himself at the Freedom High School. When he was studying, then he used to participate in several sporting activities. He was an athletic teenager. He played football and he was a member of the wrestling team of his school.

Later, he started his career as a Wrestler but his favorite sport was football and he received a scholarship from the University of Miami to play in a defensive tackle. But, later an injury stopped him to fulfill his dream of a football career. In the year 1995, he graduated with a bachelor of general studies degree in Criminology and physiology. Then he decided to train as a wrestler and started his initial training from his father.

Personal Life:

In the year 1997 on 3rd May he married his longtime girlfriend Dany Garcia. They have a daughter, Simone Alexandra. But, after 10 years of marriage, they decided to break this relation in 2007.

After his divorce with Dany Garcia, he started dating Lauren Hashian. They first met in 2006 during the shooting time of ‘The game plan’. Their first child was born in December 2015 and their second child born in April 2018. They married on 18th August 2019 in Hawaii.

Working Life:

In the year 1996, Dewayne Johnson made his WWF debut as Rocky Maivia and the next year, he won the WWF international championship from Hunter Hearst Helmsley on Monday Night Raw.

After that, he eventually changed her name to ‘The Rock’ and he established himself as a successful professional wrestler and he won several titles under his belt. His performance and his good looks made him quite popular among the female fans and after that, he started to get offers to appear on the small and the big screen. He first appeared in a music video and he hosted ‘Saturday night live’ in the year 2000. In the next year, he made her debut in Hollywood in the film ‘The Mummy returns’ and in that film, he played the role of The Scorpion king.

In the year 2002, he played the role of Mathayus in the movie ‘The Scorpian king’ and as per the report, he was paid the US $5.5 million for this movie which is quite high became a moderate success. After that, in the year 2007, he played the role of joe Kingman in the film ‘’ the Game plan. The role was basically a divorced father in the family and it is a sports comedy film. After that, in the year 2009, he again appeared in the science fiction film ‘Race to witch mountain’. The movie is based on the novel ‘Escape to witch mountain’ by Alexander Key. This film too opened ta No.1 and it became a huge box office hit. In the fifth film of Fast and furious franchise, he appeared as Luke Hobbs in the year 2011. The name of this movie was ‘Fast five’ and he played the role of the diplomatic security service agent. The film again was one of the hit and without any doubt, it was one of the biggest commercial hit of his career.

He again played the role of Luke Hobbs in fast and furious in the year of 2013. In that film, his co-star was Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Gina Carano and so on. The film was a hit in the box office and it was one of the highest-grossing films in the world. After 2013, he also appeared the seventh series of this franchise in the year 2015 and the name of that movie was Furious 7. Like the other films of this franchise, this one also became a blockbuster in his career and critics praised this movie for the action sequences.

He starred in the action-comedy film ‘Central intelligence’ in the year of 2016 and he gave his voice to the character of Polynesian Demigod Maui in the animated film ‘Moana’. He also appeared in the eighth installment of the Fast and furious franchise and the name of the movie was ‘the fate of the furious’ and later in the same year, he did two more films such as ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle’. He played in two action films in the year 2018 namely ‘Rampage’ and ‘Skyscraper’
